Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by
the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do.
So throw off the bowlines.
Sail away from the safe harbor.
Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

- Mark Twain
The pessimist complains about the wind;
the optimist expects it to change;
the realist adjusts the sails.

Words in the Wild

 At the coffee shop:

Brother: Look mom! "Unattended children will be given an espresso and free kitten."
Mom: What does unattended mean?
Brother: Children you are surprised are there.

At the beach:

Brother to children on the sand: Hey, do you want to know some Ben Franklin sayings?
Brother: Fish and visitors stink after three days, and that doesn't apply to hotels.
Sister piping in from the rocks: A sleeping fox catches no poultry.
Brother yelling back: Three can keep a secret, if two of them are dead.
Sister shoots back: Those who quarrel interpose and must often wipe a bloody nose.

Random:

We live on huckleberries, cookies and toothpaste.
